Emirates Airlines: Branding Exercises That Kept The Airline In Public Attention Always!

Emirates airlines always paid a lot of attention to its advertising and ensured that catchy slogans were invented and re-invented in a bid to keep public interest alive.

The latest slogan that is displayed by the airline is a catchy ‘Hello Tomorrow’. Other slogans in the past included ‘Fly Emirates. Keep Discovering’, ‘Fly Emirates. To Over Six Continents’, ‘Fly Emirates. Meet Dubai’, ‘Emirates. The Finest In The Sky’, ‘Fly Emirates. Keep Discovering’, ‘Be Good To Yourself. Fly Emirates’, and ‘When Was The Last Time You Did Something For The First Time. Fly Emirates’.

Emirates Airlines: Smart sponsorships, smart livery, smart uniforms!


The regularly new catchy slogans, accompanied by the livery that was changed in the year 1999 for the first time since inception, helped Emirates Airlines enter the new millennium in a new avatar.

The designs of the Arabic calligraphy of Emirates on the engines were modified slightly as were the size and placement of the English logo which became more pronounced towards the front of the aircraft. The tail started sporting a different design of a flowing flag thus livening up every Emirates Airlines aircraft.

The airline also entered into several sponsorship deals which generated a lot more interest in it. Sponsorship deals benefitted many including Cricket Australia, Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League, and now the US Open Series.

In 2008, the 16,000 strong staff and crew of the airline also saw their look being smartened up with new uniforms.

Change in slogans, livery, uniforms, or sponsorship deals, Emirates Airlines made sure it was always in the public eye!
